Grammy Award Winner, Wizkid Storms the World’s Largest Gaming Event in Saudi Arabia

Grammy Award Winner, Wizkid, was one of the numerous musicians that attended the Gamers8 Esports event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Several of Wizkid’s heritage supporters showed their delight in him as he entertained the crowd with songs from his numerous melodious tracks. 

The Nigerian music legend who has traveled far and wide with all-around performances took no chances as fans in attendance were all looking happy during the performance at the biggest video game competition in the world, known as Gamers 8.

The worldwide show which began on July 14 will be coming to a close by September 8. The “Gateway to the Future World” themed festival was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, having about 20k attendees to cheer the Nigerian pop star. This performance puts Wizkid’s name in the record books as he became the first Nigerian to headline at the festival.

This new achievement has sparked a number of opinions amongst rival fans with few indigenous fans appreciating the Nigerian gem. Wizkid’s presence at the biggest gaming event is coming just a few days after the organizers of the Rolling Loud Festival confirmed Wizkid’s appearance at the Miami show.

The 3-day festival is set to see international superstars like wavy British rapper, Dave and his American counterpart, Future.

With over 10 singers, including Wizkid, billed to perform at the concert, which began on July 14, the show has grown to become the most anticipated show of all time after reactions trailed Wizkid’s performance at the event.

The Saudi Esports Organization, the event’s promoter, said in a story on The Standard that the package comprises well over 1,000 events, ranging from performances to humor and illusion acts.

In addition to the musical component, the festival will include competitions between a number of the finest squads and players around the globe in video games with Dota 2 and Fortnite, and PUBG Mobile leading the race to the face of the show. News also has it that the gaming competition will be streamed live to millions of gaming fans across major streaming platforms like twitch and youtube.
